The 2026 USA Boxing Junior Olympics & Summer Festival in Wichita, Kansas brought together the nation’s best young boxers, and once again, the Fierce Reflex family proved it belongs among America’s elite.
From national champions to medalists, these athletes represented their gyms, families, and communities with heart, grit, and championship-level performances.
🥇 Yullicia “Superbad” Buenrostro
2026 USA Boxing Junior Olympics Intermediate 95 lb National Champion
The list keeps getting longer.
Yullicia “Superbad” Buenrostro captured another national title in Wichita, earning the Intermediate 95-pound National Championship and raising her incredible total to 15 National Championships.
Already recognized as one of the country’s premier amateur boxers, the Nevada standout continues to cement her legacy with each tournament. With Olympic aspirations firmly in her sights, “Superbad” remains one of the brightest young stars in USA Boxing.
🥇 Kaylah “Lil Smokie” Valdez
2026 USA Boxing Junior Olympics Intermediate 70 lb National Champion
California’s Kaylah “Lil Smokie” Valdez continues adding championships to an already remarkable résumé.
Competing in the Intermediate 70-pound division, “Lil Smokie” captured another Junior Olympics National Championship, giving her four National Championships and two Junior Olympics titles.
Known for her exceptional timing, precision, and ring IQ, Kaylah continues proving why she’s one of the most respected young boxers in the country.
🥇 Jay’Zon “The Problem Child” Clarke
2026 USA Boxing Junior Olympics Peewee 85 lb National Champion
At just nine years old, Jay’Zon “The Problem Child” Clarke continues living up to his nickname.
The Missouri standout captured the Peewee 85-pound National Championship, adding yet another major title after also winning the 2026 Silver Gloves National Championship earlier this year.
One of the nation’s most exciting youth prospects, Clarke continues showing that the future is already here.
🥇 Izlynn Ale’a Kekahuna Shirley
2026 USA Boxing Junior Olympics Junior 106 lb National Champion
Representing Hawaii, Izlynn Ale’a Kekahuna Shirley earned national championship honors in the Junior 106-pound division with an outstanding performance throughout the tournament.
Congratulations to Izlynn and her entire team on an incredible accomplishment.

🥈 Matthew Sanchez
Levels Fight Club – Rosemead, California
Competing in his first National Junior Olympics, Matthew Sanchez battled his way to a National Silver Medal, announcing himself as one of the country’s rising young talents.
His own words say it best:
“This is just the beginning. Every round, every challenge, and every lesson is fuel for what’s next.”
We have no doubt we’ll be seeing much more from Matthew in the years ahead.
🥉 Uriah Elliott
Knuckleheads Boxing Gym – Las Vegas, Nevada
Representing Las Vegas with pride, Uriah Elliott earned a Bronze Medal against elite national competition. Every national tournament builds experience, and Uriah continues taking important steps toward even bigger goals.
🥉 Ricky “Gallito” Nicklas
Los Angeles, California
Ricky Nicklas earned a Bronze Medal in the Bantam 70-pound division, battling through one of the toughest brackets at the tournament.
His grit, determination, and willingness to compete against the nation’s best exemplify what amateur boxing is all about.
